As of 2026, the United Nations has estimated over 239 million people worldwide in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Whether it be conflict, climate or debilitating poverty – thousands of communities, many of them widows and orphans, are left to survive with no income or access to life’s most basic necessities.
Human Appeal Australia’s (HAA) emergency relief campaigns operate in some of the most devastated regions around the world, for the sole purpose of saving lives. Our on-ground teams work tirelessly to deliver food & nutrition, clean water, shelter and urgent medical intervention to hundreds of vulnerable communities in places like Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan and more.
Our Orphan Sponsorship program specifically targets families of widowed women and orphans, who remain the most susceptible to hardship. By sponsoring an orphan or donating to this cause, you become the reason children living in hardship have food and water, a roof to shelter them and their rightful access to medicine and education.
